Lord, help me to flavor those around me with the goodness and purity of your word and help me to not become diluted and weakened through living in this world. May I look to You in for strength and understanding in all things. May I season others with your peace, love, joy and righteousness. In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen

That's my prayer, too, Laurie! Well said! I hope others who are reading will pray the same way -- we would all be a lot better off for it.

Salt adds flavoring to food and keeps it palatable. To me, this parable means that I can help others see that following God is something to be desired. The best way to help those who are lost is by my good example, by not following the world and its imperfections.

2020 warning! America has been considered the “light of the World, SALT. Seems to me we lost it and now will be cast out and Trampled underfoot by other men. We failed to hear His clear warning and now we will be trampled and thrown out. America needs to atone through behavior and constant prayer. God, have mercy on the “grains that have not lost ‘flavor’ in His sight! Amen
